On Tuesday, October 14, the EpiSignal Research Training Group officially launched with an inspiring opening ceremony, welcoming ten fully funded and 11 associated PhD researchers eager to uncover how cells make life-defining decisions.
Cells divide, differentiate, repair themselves, and even die — all fundamental processes for human health, development, and reproduction. These transformations are guided by two key mechanisms: chromatin modifications and cell signaling networks. Over the next five years, EpiSignal will investigate the largely uncharted interplay between these systems — unlocking new insights into life’s complexity.
Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), EpiSignal offers doctoral researchers from the University of Stuttgart and the University of Tübingen the opportunity to complete a doctorate in a structured research and qualification program at a high professional level.
Wishing all doctoral researchers every success as they dive into this exciting scientific journey!
